Philadelphia, PA — March 31, 2025 — Happie Literacy Works is proud to announce the establishment of the Happie Literacy Advisory Board (HLAB), a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing literacy education in and out of the classroom and promoting a culture of reading and writing within the community. The HLAB will serve as a collaborative forum, bringing together educators, authors, and literacy advocates to provide guidance on effective literacy strategies and new programs and initiatives.
The primary objectives of the HLAB include:
- Advising on Literacy Programs: Offering expert insights to develop and refine literacy initiatives that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Promoting Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from community members in literacy-related activities and fostering a supportive environment for readers and writers.
- Enhancing Educational Resources: Assisting in the creation and dissemination of high-quality educational materials that support literacy development across all age groups.
In addition to these objectives, the board will take on key responsibilities, such as evaluating current literacy programs developed by HLW, identifying funding and partnership opportunities, and advocating for policies that support literacy education in underserved communities. Board members will work closely with Happie Literacy Works leadership to ensure programs remain impactful and aligned with the organization’s mission.
Happie Literacy Works has a history of supporting writers and educators through various services, including writing coaching, affordable comprehensive editing and publishing assistance. The organization also offers over 600 free writing resources through its Writer’s Ultimate Resource platform, demonstrating a commitment to making literacy tools accessible to all.
The formation of the HLAB aligns with Happie Literacy Works’ mission to plant the seeds of creativity and empower individuals through literacy. By collaborating with a diverse group of experts and community members, the HLAB aims to create innovative solutions to address literacy challenges and promote lifelong learning.
